Today Is The Day

Moving Day is finally here. OMG, I never thought I would look forward to moving boxes again. I was so fed up with packing and unpacking just a little while ago. So we have been cleaning (or trying to anyway) all day to get rid of all the dust that gets left behind if you completely renovate an appartment. This place also happens to be in an over 100 years old building. My husband was swearing quite a bit when yet another piece of wall came crumbling down, leaving him staring at the bricks underneath.

I think he has done a great job at creating this new home for us. There are so many little things that I am looking forward to: decorating, baking with my son, sitting at the kitchen table writing my next post and rolling out my yoga mat in the bright light-flooded bedroom. I am looking forward to finally arriving. And then moving forward. Hopefully more mentally then in a box-packing sort of way…

We are missing Vancouver a lot these days. But having our own place again, I am hoping will help us make more of a home here. So dear friends and Vancouverites, next time you are standing on top of Grouse Mountain or Mount Seymour savour the moment watching the city from above and send some love our way. And if you happy to be down at the water, flip a rock across the waves… we certainly would if we were there…
